Specialist clothing is the area we like working in most, because it combines two things: unusual construction and difficult material. We make sleeping bags, leg covers, protective wraps, and clothing and underwear for people with a stoma – products that do not appear in the catalogues of typical sewing plants, because they call for sewing with fillings, work across many layers and individual construction solutions. Our machinery is built for heavy sewing, and the experience of several generations of seamstresses lets us take on one-off and short-run products where precision matters rather than scale. We manufacture under contract for brands and companies, to the client’s documentation or working it out together.

What we make

  • Sleeping bags – touring, technical and rescue, with synthetic and down fillings.
  • Leg covers – padded, waterproof, for wheelchairs and prams.
  • Protective wraps – rescue blankets, covers, transport and thermal wraps.
  • Clothing and underwear for people with a stoma – with construction adapted and soft finishes.
  • Adaptive clothing – easing dressing for people with limited mobility.
  • Unusual and one-off products to the client’s documentation.

Materials we work with

In this category we work across the whole range of materials: from soft jerseys and cotton fabrics for products in contact with skin, to coated, membrane and heavy materials for protective wraps and sleeping bags. Sewing with fillings calls for different machines and different material handling than ordinary clothing – we have the machinery prepared for it and experience with multi-chamber constructions and quilting that stops the insulation shifting.

We extend production with finishing processes: bonding, hot-melt seam sealing, lamination, and the fitting of zips and stiffeners. For products in contact with skin we pay particular attention to flat seams and pressure-free finishes. Every batch goes through visual and dimensional inspection, and on request we run mechanical testing – tensile, abrasion and tear resistance.

Products with a medical purpose

Clothing and underwear for people with a stoma are products where all-day wearing comfort decides everything: no pressure at the stoma site, flat seams, soft finishes and a construction that discreetly conceals the appliance. We make them as a contract manufacturer for brands and companies holding their own product documentation – meaning we sew to the specification and requirements provided, while classification of the product, its registration and placing on the market remain with the ordering party.

That division of roles is standard in contract manufacturing and lets brands use our capacity without transferring regulatory risk to us. If you are only now building such a product, we support you on the technical side: advice on materials, construction, grading and prototype.

How the work runs

We start with a technical conversation – particularly important in this category, because specialist products rarely lend themselves to pricing from a description alone. We establish the intended use, operating conditions, material, volume and deadline. If you have documentation, we move to the prototype; if not, we work it out together, making test seams and checking material samples.

You approve the prototype before the series. For niche products we run short series – from 50 pieces – because we know the market for such products builds slowly and does not start in the thousands.

How the work runs

Who we produce for

  • Brands of care and medical products working to their own documentation.
  • Makers of rehabilitation equipment and wheelchairs – covers, wraps, protectors.
  • Outdoor and touring brands – sleeping bags and technical covers.
  • Rescue services and the companies supplying them with thermal wraps.
  • Companies building a niche product they cannot find a maker for.

Frequently asked questions

Will you take on a product that is not on the list?

Yes, and we do it regularly – this category consists entirely of unusual products. Call and describe the product: the technologist will say straight away whether it fits our machine capabilities and what order of cost to expect.

Do you manufacture medical devices?

We sew as a contract manufacturer for companies holding their own product documentation. We make the product to the specification provided, while classification, registration and placing on the market remain with the ordering party.

Do you make sleeping bags with filling?

Yes, we work with both synthetic and down fillings, in single and multi-chamber constructions. Sewing with fillings needs separately equipped workstations – we have them in our machinery.

How small a series will you accept?

As standard from 50 pieces. For very unusual products we discuss smaller batches individually – especially where it is an introductory run before proper production.

Let us talk about your production

Call us — our technologist will tell you straight away whether we can make your product and what the cost will look like. You can also send a specification, a pattern or a sample to be copied: we prepare a quote within 48 hours.
