CNC cutting and production setup – cutting room services

CNC cutting is the first technical stage of textile production and decides the precision of the whole series.

  • ±0.3 mmcutting accuracy
  • 5–15% lesswaste than hand cutting

CNC cutting is the first technical stage of textile production, and the precision of the whole series depends on it. PRO Clo runs a modern cutting room with a Bullmer cutter serving both our own production and external orders – brands and sewing plants that sew in house but need professional, repeatable cutting from a deep lay of material.

What the service covers

  • Bullmer CNC cutting – precise multi-ply cutting.
  • Multi-ply cutting – efficient for large batches.
  • Marker plotting – from design to a production-ready template.
  • Cutting without sewing – as a service for external plants.

Machinery and precision

The Bullmer CNC cutter cuts up to 80 plies of fabric in one operation with an accuracy of ±0.3 mm. We handle every material type: jersey, uniform fabrics, technical fabrics such as Cordura, PVC and canvas, upholstery materials and hotel textiles.

Automatic cutting removes human error and lowers material waste by 5 to 15 per cent compared with hand cutting – with expensive technical fabrics that is the line that decides the costing.

Who we cut for without sewing

Cutting alone, without sewing, is used most often by external sewing plants without their own CNC cutter, by brands with in-house sewing capacity, and by pattern makers who need a production-ready template.

We work with DXF and AAMA files and send back finished packs of cut parts with batch descriptions.

Frequently asked questions

What files do you need for CNC cutting?

As standard a DXF or AAMA file with the pattern. We also accept PDF files with accurate dimensioning – our technology team then prepares the input file for the cutter for an additional fee.

Do you cut PVC-coated fabrics?

Yes. The Bullmer CNC cutter handles PVC-coated fabrics with no risk of melting – unlike a laser, which is not suitable for PVC. That is the decisive advantage when making tarpaulins and technical covers.

How many plies can be laid up?

Up to 80 plies for thin jersey, 20 to 40 for typical clothing fabrics, 5 to 10 for heavy technical materials. The technologist sets the optimal number per project.
