Contract sewing from Poland – heavy sewing for brands and companies

We have been sewing for brands and companies for generations. Our machinery is built for heavy sewing – materials most workshops turn down.

PRO Clo is a family-run contract sewing plant in Żary, western Poland, 30 kilometres from the German border. We work strictly for companies: brands, distributors, vehicle converters, institutions and other sewing plants. Our machinery is built for heavy sewing – thick, coated, membrane and multi-layer materials that plants geared to jersey and fashion turn down. On top of that come processes a typical garment workshop does not have in house: CNC cutting, hot-melt seam sealing, lamination, impregnation and leak testing.

What we do for you

  • Contract manufacturing – series production to your documentation, in CMT on supplied material or full package with sourcing on our side.
  • CNC cutting – Bullmer cutter, many plies with repeatable precision and controlled material consumption.
  • Sewing for other plants – as a subcontractor for heavy sewing when your own capacity runs short.
  • Finishing and marking – embroidery, labels, special markings, bulk and individual packing.
  • Product development – construction, grading, prototype and introductory run, even without finished documentation.
  • One-off work – unusual products and short runs nobody else will take on.

Why manufacture in Poland rather than Asia

The drive from Żary to the German border takes half an hour, to Berlin a little over two. That changes how the work goes: corrections to a prototype cost days rather than weeks, you can visit the plant and hold the series in your hands before approving it, and transport is a line in the costing rather than a risk in the schedule.

Then there is series size. We start at 50 pieces, with optimal unit cost at 200 to 500 – volumes an Asian supplier will not pick up the phone for. For brands wanting to test a product on the market without freezing capital in stock, that is the decisive difference.

How you will recognise our work

We have been sewing for generations, and with this kind of production that is not a marketing line: heavy materials forgive no routine carried over from jersey production. They call for the right needle, the right thread, the right tension and machines with enough penetration force – and a seamstress who spots that something is wrong before the series runs.

Every product goes through visual and dimensional inspection, and on request mechanical testing as well: tensile, abrasion and tear resistance. For technical and uniform orders we run tests to ISO and MIL-STD standards. Before every series we check material samples for shrinkage and stretch – the step that prevents dimensional complaints.

Who we work for

  • Clothing brands – outdoor, workwear, militaria, private label.
  • Distributors and importers manufacturing in Europe rather than Asia.
  • Institutions and companies outfitting uniformed services and staff teams.
  • Converters of campervans, trailers and special vehicles.
  • Makers of medical and care products with their own documentation.
  • Other sewing plants needing a heavy-sewing subcontractor.

Frequently asked questions

How does cooperation start?

Fastest by phone – the technologist will tell you straight away whether we can make your product and what order of cost to expect. By e-mail a specification, a technical drawing, a pattern or simply a sample to be copied is enough, together with volume and target date.

What if we have no finished documentation?

Then we build it together. We advise on material selection, prepare construction and grading, make test seams and check material samples. You do not need a finished design to start the conversation.

How long until the first series?

For a new product usually four to eight weeks from documentation through prototype to first series. Repeating a run with technological documentation in place takes two to four weeks depending on volume.

Do you supply the materials or do we?

Both. In CMT you supply fabrics, trims and usually patterns – that is how we work most often. In full package we take on purchasing, production, packaging and shipping.
