Large format sewing covers products with a surface above 5 to 10 m² – tarpaulins, banners, hall tents, industrial curtains and machine covers. It calls for long cutting tables, dedicated machines with extended arms and teamwork: two to four seamstresses work on a single product. How it differs from garment production
Unlike making shirts or sweatshirts, where repeatability across a hundred identical pieces counts, large format is often about one unique piece – a tarpaulin 14 by 6 metres with ventilation openings, say. Every order needs its own technology. That is why work here always starts with a consultation with the technologist and with the target dimensions.
Materials and fittings
Most often we sew from PVC-coated fabrics at 650 to 900 g/m², canvas, technical polyesters and mesh. We finish products with metal eyelets, hook-and-loop tape, industrial nylon zips, drawcords and fittings to specification. Cutting of elements runs on the CNC cutter or by hand, depending on the format.

What are the maximum dimensions you can sew?
We have cutting tables up to twelve metres long and production halls that allow single elements of around 150 m². Larger formats we deliver with joining seams between sections, planned for assembly on site.
Do you sew hall tents and tent halls?
Yes. We sew walls for hall tents, dividing curtains, PVC roofs and made-to-order covers for sections of halls. We work with makers of tent structures in Poland and Germany.
What finishes do you use in large format?
Metal eyelets from 16 to 40 mm, industrial nylon zips, hook-and-loop tape, PP cords, buckles and PVC edging. The choice depends on how the product is fixed on site – we agree it with the client’s technologist.
